Janet Twyman, Ph.D., BCBA, NYSLBA
Dr. Janet Twyman brings extensive experience to the field of education, having earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University and dedicated her career to advancing instructional design, educational technology, and behavior analysis. She currently serves as Director of Innovation and Technology at the U.S. Department of Education's Center on Innovations in Learning, holds an Associate Professor position in Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and founded blast: a learning sciences company.
Throughout her career, Dr. Twyman has made several significant achievements. As Vice President of Instructional Development at Headsprout (now A to Z Kids, the reading app), she played an important role in the company's development and the design of reading instruction. She has also presented to the United Nations about new technologies for diverse learners and educational settings. Dr. Twyman serves on numerous boards, and is frequently invited to speak at conferences. What sets her work apart is the remarkable scope, which includes publication, mentorship, teaching, leadership, and research.
