Dr. Musa Adekunle Ayanwale is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. His main research focuses on testing theories, instrument development and validation, psychometrics, generalizability theory-based reliability analyses, Q-methodology, structural modelling, computerized adaptive testing, and computational and network psychometrics. Part of his research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in assessment innovation, predictive analytics, and adaptive learning systems. He was among those researchers listed among the World Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2025. Beyond his research interests, he is the Co-founder of the Association of Computer Adaptive Testing in Africa, as well as a peer reviewer for a number of international journals.
