Dr. Laura Otero is an accomplished instructional designer and higher education leader with over 15 years of experience in learning, faculty development, and emerging technologies. Currently at San Jose State University, Otero has served as the Instructional Design and Faculty Academic Coordinator at the Naval Postgraduate School and as adjunct faculty at CSU Monterey Bay, where she led AI training across the CSU system.
Dr. Otero holds a Ph.D. in Leadership with a focus on Instructional Technology. Her research explores how emerging technologies impact collaboration and social capital among educational professionals. Dr. Otero's work bridges research with practical implementation. She is passionate about managing instructional changes through professional development and technology integration.
Dr. Otero continues to shape the future of higher education by building collaborative, innovative learning environments that empower educators and learners.
