Andrew Maynard

As former Associate Dean of ASU's College of Global Futures and now founder and director of ASU’s Future of Being Human initiative, he works at the intersection of emerging AI issues, transdisciplinary academia, advanced technology transitions, and the human impacts of technology — topics that directly shape the future of educational technology. For instance, when co-authoring AI and the Art of Being Human, he also released an "Educator's Guide" to help faculty navigate these shifts. His public scholarship on the Future of Being Human Substack regularly tackles core higher-ed dilemmas, including “Being an Academic in an Age of AI,” “Can Modern Scholarship Escape AI?”, and “Can AI Write Your PhD Dissertation For You?”
